Kleinostheim, 19.06.2006 Koheras A/S and LG-Laser Technologies GmbH are moving closer – to strengthen the impact on the market, the two companies will from now on act as one group, hence LG-Laser Technologies has changed the company name to Koheras GmbH.
In 2004, Danish fiber laser manufacturer Koheras A/S acquired the majority of German laser manufacturer LG-Laser Technologies GmbH in order to achieve a stronger presence in Germany, the most important single market for fiber lasers. After two years of collaboration and preparation for the current changes, the Koheras group will from now on present a joint portfolio of laser products to a diverse range of markets and demanding industrial applications.
The Koheras group will exhibit at OPTATEC 2006, which takes place from 20. - 23. June in Frankfurt, Germany. On booth E 43, all product lines will be presented with focus on the strong engineering capabilities and customised laser solutions.

Koheras GmbH (former LG-Laser Technologies GmbH), including its predecessor LG Laser Graphics, has been in business for more than 15 years. Having started as a service company for Argon-Ion lasers to the printing industry, the company developed their own product portfolio of Argon-Ion lasers, laser diode modules and DPSS lasers over the years. In 2005, the company entered the market of CO2-based laser cutting and engraving machines.
Koheras A/S has been established in 1997 as developer and manufacturer of fiber lasers for industrial OEM and key scientific applications world-wide. The fiber laser portfolio covers ultra narrow linewidth fiber lasers, high power fiber lasers as well as broadband super-continuum fiber lasers.
The Koheras group is member of the NKT Photonics Group, a fast growing part of NKT holding A/S which gives significant back up and dedicated support to the future-proof technologies in photonics.
